SSM College of Pharmacy

The SSM College of Pharmacy is run by “Vyrathi Charitable and Educational Trust”.  The college is affiliated with Tamilnadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and  All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and recognized by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The College is located in a serene atmosphere and is spread over 2.65 acres at Chinniampalayam pudur, Jambai Village, Bhavani Taluk, Erode District. Our Campus is highly spacious with a healthy climate. A separate hostel for boys and girls is being planned for the near future.

Seat distribution for Pharmacy courses in Tamilnadu is approved by  PCI (Pharmacy Council of India) (https://www.pci.nic.in/) and AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) ( https://www.aicte-india.org ), New Delhi. 

AGE LIMIT:– Candidates should have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December (Those who were born a few days later can also be included).

Bachelor of Pharmacy ( B. Pharma): 

CATEGORY I: The seats in the Government college

CATEGORY II: Government Quota seats available in the Self Financing Medical/ Dental/ Para Medical in Non-Minority Institutions in the ratio of 65:35 (Govt./Management) and for Minority Institutions 50:50 basis.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

For OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC Candidates : -

Pass in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology or Mathematics not less than 40 % aggregate marks.

For SC / SCA / ST Candidates: -

Pass in Higher Secondary Course with Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany and Zoology (or) Mathematics

Bachelor of Pharmacy ( B. Pharma): (lateral entry):-

10% of the total number of seats sanctioned for the B.Pharm course are earmarked for B.Pharm (Lateral Entry) candidates both in Government and Self Financing Institutions.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:-

-For OC/BC/BCM/MBC/DNC CATEGORIES:- Candidates should have an aggregate of 40% marks in the first and second year D.Pharm. Examination with a pass in H.S.C. 

                                            (or)

 The individual pass mark in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology or Mathematics both in theory and practical with not less than 40% aggregate marks in the above subjects in the qualifying H.S.C. examination (Academic Stream) with a pass in D.Pharm Course.

-For SC/SCA/ST CATEGORIES: Candidates must have obtained individual pass marks in Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Botany & Zoology (or) Mathematics both in Theory & Practical with a minimum of 35% marks in the above subjects with a pass in D. Pharm Course.
