The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Goa, has prepared this prospectus for admissions to the First Year of professional degree courses in the State of Goa. It provides information regarding the Common Entrance Test and the admission procedure for Government, Government-aided, and unaided colleges offering Bachelor’s degree programmes in fields such as Architecture, Dentistry, Engineering, Medicine (Allopathy, Homoeopathy, and Ayurveda), Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, Nursing, and Naturopathy & Yogic Science. In addition, the Directorate is authorized to process admissions for certain other programmes, for which separate prospectuses are issued, including direct admissions to the Second Year of degree courses for Diploma and B.Sc. degree holders, and Diploma programmes in Polytechnics in Goa. The Directorate also manages admissions to the B.V.Sc. & A.H. degree course for seats reserved by the Government of Goa for students from the state, and relevant information about these admissions is included in this prospectus.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates who have passed Diploma in Engineering /B.Sc. Degree with Mathematics as a subject at Std XII th, with at least 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC), shall be eligible for admission to First Year of Engineering Degree Courses, subject to vacancies in First Year, after vacancies at Lateral Entry into Direct Second Year are exhausted. The merit list of such candidates shall be prepared on the basis of aggregate marks scored at qualifying exam. Diploma holders in Pharmacy would be eligible for admissions only to First Year of Pharmacy Degree Course under this provision. Vacant seats under this provision shall first be offered to eligible Diploma holders and then to B.Sc. Degree holders. Admissions of such candidates into First Year will be subject to vacant seats available at First Year, after offering all available seats during admission rounds to eligible candidates from Merit List based on JEE(MAIN).

PROCESS OF ADMISSION: Applicants are required to submit Application form as per schedule to be notified, together with specified enclosures, to DTE, Goa. In addition, applicants also need to register online on the MAFSU website to apply for seats at MAFSU, and submit acknowledgement of the same to Directorate of Animal Husbandary and Veterinary Services, Patto-Panaji. Choice of seats in the Institutions will be offered during the admission round, based on Merit position in the General Category Merit list, which includes all category applicants.
NATIONALITY: Admission to professional courses in State of Goa is open to Indian nationals fulfilling the eligibility criteria under various categories. Non-resident Indians holding Indian passport may apply for seats reserved under NRI category. Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) /Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) cardholders are considered eligible for admissions to seats under NRI Category.
AGE: An applicant to Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Homoeopathy, Ayurveda, Allied Health Science, B.V.Sc.&A.H., Nursing and BNYS must have completed the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the academic year of admission to become eligible for admission to First Year. No age limit, minimum or maximum, is specified for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy Courses.
OTHER INSTRUCTIONS : The application forms, original documents, and the bank receipts of the fee paid shall remain in the custody of the Admission Committee through the representative of the respective institutions until the Second/ any other subsequent round of admission (if any). The bank receipts shall not be encashed till this time to facilitate on the spot refund of the fee, during vertical mobility. Heads of Institutions shall be solely responsible for the refund of fees. Receipt of fees shall be issued by the respective Institute, if required. The Admission Committee nominee/s from the respective Institution shall be responsible for reporting all vacancies, cancellations, fee payment details in respect of candidate admitted to their respective Institutions. After the Second/ any other subsequent round of admission (if any), the refund of fees shall be sought from the Principal of the Institutions. The Principals of the institute should ensure that the refund is made within 15 days from the date of cancellation and valid request for refund. Fee receipt shall be issued by respective institutions. The Admission Committee shall be responsible for transfer of application form and Original documents of the applicants from one institute to other, on account of vertical mobility, during the process of admission. All fees and deposits pertaining to hostel shall be paid to and refunded by the Heads of respective institutes only and no correspondence should be made to the DTE. In case of any legal dispute on refund of fees, Directorate of Technical Education or Admission Committee shall not be the party to the dispute, except for the purpose of clarification of the rules.
Self-attested photocopies of relevant certificates and testimonials should be attached to the Application Form and the same shall be tick marked in the checklist, on the form.

Merit List: Merit List of admissions to B.Pharm. Degree course shall be prepared based on applicant’s performance at JEE-Main 2025 OR NEET-2025 conducted by NTA, on the basis of Best aggregate Percentile Score in the subjects of Physics and Chemistry, either at JEE-Main 2025 OR NEET-2025.

Eligibility Criteria: The Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) in Goa, including admission to Goa College of Pharmacy, Panaji, requires candidates to have passed 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) or an equivalent examination from a recognized board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Biology or Mathematics. Candidates must generally secure at least 45% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination (about 40% for reserved categories such as SC/ST/OBC). Applicants are usually required to be at least 17 years old in the year of admission. The admission process is typically conducted on a merit basis through the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa, according to the state admission guidelines.
Eligibility Criteria: For admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D) programme in Goa (including institutions affiliated with Goa University), a candidate must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary Examination) from a recognized board with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Biology or Mathematics. Alternatively, candidates who have completed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India are also eligible for admission. The candidate should normally be at least 17 years of age in the year of admission, and admissions are generally conducted according to the guidelines of the Directorate of Technical Education, Goa and the affiliated university.
Eligibility Criteria: Candidates must have passed the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) examination from Goa College of Pharmacy, any Pharmacy College in Goa, or an equivalent recognized institution with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks for General category candidates and 50% for SC/ST candidates (calculated over the four years of the B.Pharm programme), along with a valid NTA score or percentile in GPAT 2024 or 2025. For sponsored candidates, the minimum required percentage is relaxed from 55% to 50% provided the candidate has at least five years of professional experience after completing the B.Pharm course. Such candidates must submit a letter from their employer confirming sponsorship for admission, assuring that the candidate will not be withdrawn until completion of the course, and stating that the proposed research project will be fully funded by the sponsoring agency. Candidates who have obtained their qualifying degree from a university other than Goa University will also be considered if they have qualified in GPAT 2024 or 2025. Additionally, every student admitted to a postgraduate pharmacy programme in any pharmacy institution in the country must obtain registration with the State Pharmacy Council within one month of admission, failing which the admission will be cancelled.
