Goa College of Pharmacy, with its roots from Portuguese times as a Pharmacy department in a medical college ESCOLA MEDICA de GOA, renamed as Goa College of Pharmacy in 1963 with a dedicated campus, under the aegis of Government of Goa is on a journey to educate and nurture the finest quality pharmacist. Admission Process

B. Pharm – Bachelor in Pharmacy (4 years – 8 semesters)

Eligibility: 

  • For first year B.Pharm course the candidate must have passed 10+2 or PUC or Equivalent examination from recognized board or university with a cut-off percentage of 50% in PCB (Physics, Chemistry & Biology) or PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics) as optional subjects individually.
  • Lateral entry to third semester (3 Years – 6 semesters) needs a person to have completed D.Pharm course from an institution approved by PCI & AICTE.
  • Medium of instruction and examination shall be in English.

Admission procedure:-

Seats are allotted  based on merit .The applicant must have appeared and obtained valid score at the Goa Common Entrance Test (GCET) conducted by DTE: www.dte.goa.gov.in  Government of Goa for the year of admission. No minimum GCET score limit is specified for B.Pharm.

D. Pharm – Diploma in Pharmacy (2 Years) 

Eligibility: 

  • Candidate must have secured a minimum of 35% marks in aggregate in the HSSC (Science) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology / Mathematics as compulsory subjects.

Admission procedure

Seats are allotted  based on merit prepared by DTE: www.dte.goa.gov.in  Government of Goa for the year of admission

  1. The candidate with higher marks in total of the subjects in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics taken at HSSC (Science) or equivalent shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
  2. In case two applicants have equal marks at HSSC (Science) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics / Biology, candidate with higher marks in the subject of Mathematics /Biology at HSSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
  3. In case the marks in Mathematics /Biology at HSSC are also equal, the applicant with higher aggregate marks in HSSC shall be placed higher in the order of merit.
  4. If conditions at (a), (b) & (c) above are also found equal then, the applicant with higher marks in the subject of English at HSSC will be placed higher in the order of merit.

M. Pharm – Master of Pharmacy (2 years – 4 semesters)

Eligibility:

  • The candidate should have passed B. Pharm degree examination from goa university or any other PCI recognized University with 50% (45% in case of SC/ST/ OBC candidates) aggregate marks.
  • Selected candidate for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institutions should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission
  • It is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective University where the candidate had passed his/her qualifying degree (B.Pharm)

Admission procedure

A Selection of candidates, including service quota candidates, will be made based on the rank of the qualified candidate in GRADUATE PHARMACY APTITUDE TEST(GPAT)  ( https://gpat.nta.nic.in/  ) conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and subject to other eligibility criteria prescribed. Those who are not qualified in GPAT-2020 are not eligible for admission. Any seats remaining vacant will be offered to the GPAT eligible candidate passing B.Pharm examination from university/colleges outside the state of Goa
