Annai J.K.K. Sampoorani Ammal College of Pharmacy was established in 1986 in Namakkal, Tamil Nadu, is a private institution affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi. The college offers a range of programs including D.Pharm, B.Pharm, M.Pharm in various specializations, Pharm.D, and Ph.D. in Pharmacy. The online application for admission to Paramedical Degree Courses in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges and Government quota seats in Self-Financing Colleges affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai, is available at www.tnhealth.tn.gov.in and www.tnmedicalselection.org. Candidates must regularly visit these websites for updates throughout the admission process, as the Selection Committee will not be held responsible for any consequences arising from failure to follow updates, notifications, or announcements published online. Those unable to access the online application can visit the nearest Government Medical College, Government Dental College, or Tamil Nadu Facilitation Centre (TFC) in districts without medical colleges, along with their parent or guardian and original certificates, to use the available facilities to apply. Applicants are strongly advised to download and carefully read the prospectus with their parents or guardians before completing the application, ensuring that all mandatory fields are properly filled. Incomplete or incorrectly filled applications will be rejected, and no requests for reconsideration will be entertained. In case of any confusion, candidates should refer to both Tamil and English versions of the prospectus for clarity.

B. Pharm(Bachelor of Pharmacy)

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be a citizen of India and should have passed the Higher Secondary (10+2) examination with the required science subjects, securing at least 40% aggregate marks. Candidates who have completed an equivalent examination other than the Tamil Nadu State Board or CBSE with the same subject combination must obtain an Eligibility Certificate from the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Guindy, Chennai, before joining the course. For candidates whose mark sheets show only grades, the minimum marks corresponding to the grades will be considered while calculating marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany and Zoology. Such candidates must obtain a certified statement of marks from the examination authority and upload it to indicate the actual marks secured. A normalization method will be applied to determine the minimum eligibility marks for candidates who have passed other equivalent examinations. Candidates who have completed the Higher Secondary Course through the vocational stream or as private/open school candidates are not eligible to apply for Paramedical Degree courses.

Reservation :

1. Within 30% reservation for BC, 3.5% reservation will be provided for BC Muslims.
2. 16% of seats out of 18% quota earmarked to SC shall be allotted to the Arunthathiyar community.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING AND SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION:-

Note:- Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category must upload their Community Certificate issued by the competent authority not below the rank of Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) while submitting the online application. If a candidate claims ST status without uploading the valid community certificate, they will be treated as an Open Category candidate. Submission or production of a false community, nativity, or any other certificate at any stage during the course will lead to cancellation of allotment, expulsion from the course, and initiation of criminal proceedings against the candidate and parents as per law. Due to the increasing number of fake community certificates, the authenticity of the certificate must be verified and confirmed by the concerned authority before the completion of the first year, and candidates along with their parents must take necessary steps for this verification. If proof of authenticity is not received, the candidate will not be permitted to continue to the second year. All required certificates must be uploaded in the prescribed format in the online application, and community certificates issued by other states will not be considered, with such candidates being treated under the Open Category.

ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE (SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM):- The online counselling schedule will be available only on the official website, and candidates must lock their choices of colleges and courses within the specified schedule. Admission to Paramedical Degree courses will be conducted through online counselling based on merit and the applicable rule of reservation. Counselling for Special Categories such as Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disability will be conducted before the General Category, and no reallotment or change of college will be permitted for these special categories. To participate in the online counselling process, candidates must pay a processing fee of Rs. 250 through the online bank payment portal. During the choice filling process, candidates can select any number of eligible courses and colleges, and the seat allotment will be made according to their choices, merit rank, and reservation rules.

CATEGORIES OF SEATS:-

1. GOVERNMENT COLLEGES
2. GOVERNMENT QUOTA SEATS IN SELF-FINANCING COLLEGES : 65% of total seats in Non-Minority Institution and 50% of total seats in Minority Institution, subject to the Policy of the State Government and the court orders in this regard for each Paramedical Course in Self-Financing institutions surrendered to Government Quota will be filled as per merit following the rule of reservation in force. The actual number of seats offered by the Self - Financing Institutions will be displayed at the time of Counselling.

SPECIAL CATEGORIES : - Seats earmarked for the Special Categories will be allotted following the Horizontal Reservation. The seats will be allotted as per merit order in the concerned special category and those seats will be deducted in the concerned compartment (OC /BC / BCM / MBC / DNC / SC / SCA / ST) and the remaining seats will be allotted to the General Category. If adequate number of eligible candidates are not available under Special Category, the earmarked seats will be reverted back to general category. The other eligibility conditions for admission will be applicable in the case of General Category.

REPORTING : Candidates who are allotted seats must download their provisional allotment order and report in person to the allotted Medical College or Institution within the specified date and time, carrying the original certificates along with photocopies. Candidates who applied but did not participate or were not allotted a seat in the first round of counselling may participate in the subsequent counselling rounds. However, only those candidates who joined the course during the first phase of counselling will be eligible to attend later phases for re-allotment. The schedule for further counselling will be published on the official website, and no individual communication will be sent to candidates. Movement of candidates from self-financing colleges to Government colleges or between Government colleges will be based on merit and reservation rules. Vacancies arising after the first round or additional seats approved for new colleges will be filled through subsequent rounds of counselling. Re-allotment within self-financing colleges will not be permitted, and individual or mutual requests for transfer of course or college will not be entertained.

MERIT LIST:- The merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained by eligible candidates in the prescribed subjects of the qualifying examination, reduced to a base of 200 marks. Marks obtained from different education boards will be considered after applying the normalization process. For candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics, the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be used to prepare the general merit list for paramedical courses. For candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics along with other subjects (excluding Biology, Botany, and Zoology), the marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics will be considered only for preparing the merit list for B.Pharmacy, B.ASLP, and B.Optom courses. In case two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the inter-se merit rules will be applied to determine their ranking. The Selection Committee will publish the merit list on the official website www.tnmedicalselection.org, and candidates will be allowed to participate in online counselling according to their merit rank and exercise their course and college options as per the eligibility criteria specified in the prospectus.

D. Pharm (Diploma in Pharmacy)

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be a citizen of India and should have completed 17 years of age on or before 31st December 2025. The candidate must have passed the Higher Secondary (+2) examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Botany and Zoology or Mathematics, securing a pass in both theory and practical examinations in the relevant subjects. In addition, passing the English subject is mandatory for candidates of all categories to be eligible for admission.

Reservation :

1. Within 30% reservation for BC, 3.5% reservation will be provided for BC Muslims.
2. 16% of seats out of 18% quota earmarked to SC shall be allotted to the Arunthathiyar community.

SPECIAL CATEGORIES:-

1. FOR DIPLOMA IN PHARMACY COURSE (ONLY CHILDREN OF EX-SERVICEMEN : The candidate should furnish a certificate as prescribed in the Format in Annexure-I obtained from the competent authority. The special committee from the defence authorities constituted for this purpose will scrutinize certificates submitted by the candidates and candidates will be selected on merit basis.
2. SEATS RESERVED FOR DIFFERENTLY ABLED PERSONS: 5% of the total number of seats available in Government Colleges are reserved for the Differently Abled candidates. The other conditions for admission into Paramedical course will be applicable as in the case of the general category.

ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE (SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM):- The online counselling schedule will be available only on the official website, and candidates must lock their choices of courses and colleges within the specified schedule. Admission to Paramedical Other Diploma and Certificate courses will be conducted through counselling based on merit and the applicable rule of reservation. Counselling for special categories such as Ex-Servicemen and Persons with Disabilities will be conducted prior to the General Category, and no re-allotment or change of college will be permitted for these categories. To participate in the online counselling process, candidates must pay a processing fee of Rs. 250 through the online bank payment portal. During the choice-filling stage, candidates may select the courses and colleges of their preference, and seats will be allotted based on merit and availability of seats.

Movement of candidates from one Government college to another Government college will be allowed based on merit and the applicable rule of reservation, and the schedule for such online counselling will be published on the official website and communicated to the Deans of the respective colleges. Vacancies arising after the first phase of counselling, as well as seats in newly introduced courses if any, will be filled from the waiting list through additional rounds of online counselling, if required. Individual or mutual requests for transfer of course or college will not be entertained. Candidates may exercise their options for seat allotment in any category subject to availability, and if seats are not available in a particular category, they may be placed on the waiting list for a specific course only. However, candidates cannot choose to be waitlisted for a particular college if seats are available in that category at the time of their turn.

Pharm.D (Doctor of Pharmacy)

Eligibility Criteria: The candidate must be a citizen of India and a native of Tamil Nadu. Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on 31st December 2025; candidates born within 15 days after this date may also be considered. The candidate must have passed the 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with either Mathematics or Biology. Candidates who have completed a D.Pharm course are also eligible to apply for the Pharm.D programme; however, their admission will be considered based on their marks obtained in the Higher Secondary (H.Sc.) examination, and the duration of the Pharm.D course for them will be six years.

Reservation :

1. Within 30% reservation for BC, 3.5% reservation will be provided for BC Muslims.
2. 16% of seats out of 18% quota earmarked to SC shall be allotted to the Arunthathiyar community.

NATIVITY:- Candidates must be natives of Tamil Nadu to be eligible for admission and must submit a Nativity Certificate issued by the competent Revenue Authority of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Candidates from other States cannot claim Tamil Nadu nativity, and a Permanent Residence Certificate will not be accepted in place of a Nativity Certificate. The Nativity Certificate must be uploaded along with the application; certificates submitted separately later will not be accepted. Candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu and have studied from 6th to 12th standard in schools within Tamil Nadu must also upload their Nativity Certificate and Community Certificate issued by the competent authority. To claim communal reservation, the community certificate of either parent issued by the competent Revenue Authority in Tamil Nadu must also be submitted. If these certificates are not provided, even if the candidate has studied from 6th to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu, the candidate will be considered under the Open Category. Candidates who are natives of Tamil Nadu but have studied from 6th to 12th standard either partly or completely in other States must upload their Nativity Certificate issued by the competent authority in Tamil Nadu. If they wish to claim communal reservation, they must also upload their community certificate and the community certificate of either parent or guardian issued by the competent Revenue Authority in Tamil Nadu; otherwise, their application will be rejected. Candidates from other States who are not natives of Tamil Nadu but have studied from 6th to 12th standard in Tamil Nadu will be considered only under the Open Category and must submit a Bonafide Certificate from the school where they studied. Community Certificates issued to the candidate or their parents by authorities of other States will not be considered for communal reservation.

CATEGORIES OF SEATS:

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:- Candidates seeking admission to the Pharm.D Degree Course for the 2025–2026 academic session must submit their duly filled online application form along with the required documents before 5.00 PM on 07-07-2025. Requests for extension of time to submit the application or upload documents after the specified date and time will not be considered. Any supporting documents or online applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

ONLINE COUNSELLING PROCEDURE (SINGLE WINDOW SYSTEM):- The schedule for online counselling will be available only on the official website. Candidates must lock their choices of colleges and courses within the specified schedule. Admission to the Pharm.D Degree Course will be conducted through counselling based on merit and in accordance with the rule of reservation. To participate in the online counselling, candidates are required to pay a processing fee of ₹500 (Rupees Five Hundred only) through the online bank payment portal. During the choice-filling process, candidates can select their preferred course and college based on their merit, and seats will be allotted according to merit and the availability of seats.

REPORTING : Candidates who are allotted seats must download their provisional allotment order and report in person to the allotted Medical College or Institution before the date and time mentioned in the order, along with the original certificates and their copies. Candidates who download the provisional allotment order but fail to join the course will not be eligible to participate in the subsequent rounds of online counselling. Applicants who have applied but did not participate or were not allotted seats in the first round of counselling may take part in the subsequent rounds. Only those candidates who joined the course during the first phase of counselling are eligible to participate in later phases for re-allotment. The schedule for further counselling will be published on the official website, and no individual intimation will be sent to the candidates. Vacancies arising after the first phase of counselling, as well as seats in any newly added colleges, will be filled from the waiting list through online counselling if required. Re-allotment will be conducted for the Pharm.D Degree course, and individual requests for change or transfer of course or college, including mutual transfers, will not be entertained.

MERIT LIST:- Ranking will be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained by the eligible candidates in the prescribed Science subjects in the qualifying examinations reduced to the base of 200 marks. The marks obtained through different Boards will be taken into account after normalization.

M.Pharm (Master of Pharmacy):

Eligibility Criteria: Candidates seeking admission to the M.Pharmacy course must possess a B.Pharmacy degree awarded by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University or any other university recognized as equivalent by the same university or the Pharmacy Council of India. Candidates who have completed their B.Pharmacy from other universities must obtain and produce an Eligibility Certificate from The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University at the time of admission. Applicants must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in all semesters of the B.Pharmacy course for OC, BC, BCM, MBC(V), MBC & DNC, and MBC categories, and 50% for SC, SCA, and ST categories. In case of failures, the marks obtained in the subsequent passing attempts will be considered for calculation, and the number of attempts will not affect the eligibility. Candidates who have already completed a postgraduate degree in any branch of M.Pharmacy or are currently pursuing a postgraduate course in M.Pharmacy are not eligible to apply for another branch. Additionally, candidates who discontinued an M.Pharmacy course after the cut-off date fixed by The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University are not eligible to apply for admission for the next two academic years.

COUNSELLING PROCEDURE: - Admission to the M.Pharmacy course will be conducted through online counselling based on the candidate’s rank, following the rule of reservation and roster system prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu, and in accordance with the terms and conditions stated in the Government Orders issued from time to time. Candidates who have not registered or locked their choices in the first round of online counselling will be permitted to participate in the subsequent rounds. Once options for speciality or college are selected during the online counselling process, they cannot be changed later. Requests for change of speciality or college after exercising the option will not be permitted. Transfer from one college to another will not be allowed, and re-allotment of seats will be permitted only during the second phase of online counselling. Individual requests for transfer of college will not be entertained, and mutual transfers will not be allowed under any circumstances.

PROCEDURE FOR FILLING AND SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION :-

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:- Candidates seeking admission to the M.Pharmacy course for the 2025–2026 academic session in Tamil Nadu Government Medical Colleges and Government quota seats in Self-Financing Medical Colleges affiliated with The Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University can access the application form through the official website www.tnmedicalselection.net. Applicants must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹1,000 through the online payment portal only. The fee can be paid using Debit Card, Credit Card, Net Banking, RTGS, or UPI. Candidates are advised to complete the application process well before the deadline to avoid last-minute issues. It should be noted that mere deduction of the fee amount from the bank account does not confirm successful payment. The online application form must be submitted on or before 5.00 PM on 31.08.2025, after which no further submissions will be allowed. Service candidates must also upload their service particulars along with the filled-in online application form, duly certified by the Forwarding Authority with date and official seal.

MERIT LIST: The Merit List will be drawn for a Total Mark of 100 by computing the Entrance Examination Marks and the marks for experience. (90 marks for entrance examination + 10 marks for experience including marks for hilly areas).
