Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), established within the vast, clean, and green campus of Uttaranchal University, has become a recognized brand in education and research in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The college is affiliated with  Uttarakhand Technical University, Dehradun, and UTTARAKHAND BOARD OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION, Roorkee,  and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India(PCI), New Delhi. The teaching system employed is innovative and application-oriented backed by the strong support provided by well-equipped laboratories and highly qualified & experienced faculty & supporting staff. Practical exposure is ensured by Practical Training during summer/ winter vacation in Community/ Hospital in the First & Second years and Industrial Training & Research Project in Third Year/Final Year for Diploma/Degree students. The students are encouraged to do open-ended laboratory-oriented projects and study-oriented projects at the degree level. UIPS emphasizes the use of computers, pharmacy software, and the operation of sophisticated laboratory equipment. Seminars, Guest Lectures, and Workshops by eminent speakers from Industry, Hospitals, Research Institutes, and Educational Trips & Industrial Visits expose the students to the basic and advanced concepts of the field.
