Admission Process of Sri Venkateswara College of Pharmacy (SVCOP) conducts counseling by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for Pharmacy Courses.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) conducts and manages admissions to Pharmacy courses in the state through the AP EAPCET exam. It ensures a transparent, merit-based process for B.Pharmacy and Pharm.D admissions in government and private colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

B. Pharm–Bachelor in Pharmacy (4 years – 8 semesters)
Eligibility:

  • Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as optional subjects.
  • A minimum of 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination is generally required. However, some institutions may have different cutoffs, especially for reserved categories.
  • Students who have completed a 3-year Diploma in Pharmacy are also eligible to apply for B.Pharmacy in some cases.

Admission Process:

The admission procedure is divided into two categories: Government seats and Management seats.

The Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) conducts the AP EAPCET counseling for admissions to pharmacy programs.

Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will be doing Counseling for 100% seats for Government Colleges, and 70% seats for private colleges as per rank secured in AP EAPCET ( Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test ) entrance examination https://eapcet-sche.aptonline.in/EAPCET/. The remaining 30% of seats, known as the Management Quota, are filled by the respective colleges.

D. Pharm–Diploma in Pharmacy (2 Years)

Eligibility:

  • SSC or 10th equivalent passed with 50%
  • Most institutions require a minimum aggregate score of 50% in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved categories).

Admission Process:

The admission procedure is divided into two categories, i.e., Government seat and Management seat.

State Board of Technical Education and Training, Andhra Pradesh (SBTET) will be doing Counseling for 100% seats for Government Colleges, and 70% seats for private colleges as per rank secured in AP EAPCET ( Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test ) entrance examination https://eapcet-sche.aptonline.in/EAPCET/. The remaining 30% of seats, known as the Management Quota, are filled by the respective colleges.

Pharm. D (Doctor of Pharmacy):

Eligibility:

For Pharm –D Course (50% seats for M.P.C and 50% seats for Bi. P.C. candidates):

  • Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics or Biology as optional subjects.

Admission Process:

For admission to the professional course like Pharm.D, the State Government conducts an entrance exam called AP EAPCET every year in the month of April/ May. The students are given ranks based on the marks obtained in the test and the percentage of marks at the intermediate level (Bi.P.C)/M.P.C or 10 + 2 level.

70% of seats are filled through the AP EAPCET rank by the Convenor, and 30% seats are filled by the management, based on merit at the Intermediate or as per the State government-prescribed rules from time to time.

Admissions to the College are made along with the other Pharmacy Colleges in the State through a common entrance test (AP EAPCET) ( https://eapcet-sche.aptonline.in/EAPCET/ ) conducted by the Govt of Andhra Pradesh.

Government seat in Private colleges- AP EAPCET (A-Category).NRI/Management candidates (B-Category).

M. Pharm(Master of Pharmacy)- 2 years- 4 semesters:

Eligibility:

  1. The candidate should have passed B. Pharm degree examination PCI recognized University with 50% (45% in case of SC/ST/ OBC candidates) aggregate marks.
  2. Selected candidate for admission to post graduate pharmacy program in any PCI approved institutions should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission
  3. It is mandatory to submit a migration certificate obtained from the respective University where the candidate had passed his/her qualifying degree (B. Pharm).
  4. Admission to the PGPs shall be made subject to eligibility, qualification and specializations prescribed by the University from time to time, for each specialization under each M.Pharm. programme.
  5. Admission to the post graduate programme shall be made on the basis of either the merit rank or Percentile obtained by the qualified student in the relevant qualifying GPAT Examination/ the merit rank obtained by the qualified student in an entrance test conducted by Telangana State Government (PGECET) for M.Pharm. programmes.

Admission Process:

The candidate gets a chance to select the specializations like Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance, Pharmacology, Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Technology, Pharmacognosy, Industrial Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical Technology, a and Biopharmaceutics, Drug Regulatory Affairs, Bulk Drugs, Medicinal Natural Products, Pharmaceutical Administration, Medicinal Chemistry, Drug Discovery and Development, Pharmaceutical Marketing Management, Phytopharmaceuticals, and Natural products, Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry as per the availability in the applying college.

Admissions to the College are made along with the other Pharmacy Colleges in the state through a common entrance test (AP PGECET https://pgecet-sche1.aptonline.in/PGECET /GPAT https://gpat.nta.nic.in/ )

  • 70% of the seats are allotted by the Convener, based on merit in the (A-Category).
  • 30% of the seats are earmarked for NRI/Management candidates (B-Category).
M. Pharm – Master of Pharmacy

Eligibility:

  1. B.Pharm degree from a PCI-recognized institution is the primary requirement.
  2. Candidates need to have secured at least 50% marks in their B.Pharm degree.

  • SC: Scheduled Castes typically have a reservation of 15%.
  • ST: Scheduled Tribes typically have a reservation of 6%.
  • BC: Backward Classes are further divided into sub-categories (BC-A, BC-B, BC-C, BC-D, and BC-E), with varying percentages totaling 29%.
  • EWS: Economically Weaker Sections have a reservation of 10%.
  • Women: A horizontal reservation of 33 1/3% of seats is provided for women candidates in each category.
