
SLT Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences was established in the year 1997, with an objective to prepare professionally competent manpower in the field of pharmaceutical sciences. It is affiliated with Guru Ghasidas Vishwavidyalaya, Bilaspur. The Institute is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Pharmacy Council of India (PCI). This is the pioneer Institute in the Chhattisgarh State. Institute offers the various courses like D. Pharm., B. Pharm., M. Pharm. (Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Pharmacology) and Ph.D. programme.

The Chhattisgarh Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) is the government body responsible for planning, regulating, and promoting technical and professional education in the state of Chhattisgarh. It functions under the Department of Technical Education, Skill Development and Employment and oversees institutions offering courses in engineering, pharmacy, polytechnic, and other professional programs. The Directorate manages admission and counselling processes, ensures that institutions follow academic standards and regulatory guidelines, and works to improve the quality of technical education across the state. Its primary objective is to develop a skilled and industry-ready workforce that contributes to the technological and economic growth of Chhattisgarh.
B. Pharmacy : Candidates must have passed the Class 12 examination under the (10+2) education system from a recognized board, with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology/Biotechnology as the three compulsory subjects. A minimum of 45% aggregate marks in these three subjects is required for candidates from the Unreserved category, and 40% marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) of Chhattisgarh. It is mandatory to pass each of the three main subjects separately, in both theory and practical examinations, as per the rules of the respective board. Additionally, English must be one of the subjects in Class 12 for eligibility to the B. Pharmacy program.
D. Pharmacy: For admission to two-year Diploma in Pharmacy program-passed the class 12th examination under the (10+2) education system, from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biotechnology/ Biology as compulsory three subjects, with at least 45% marks in these three main subjects for candidates belonging to unreserved category, and 40% marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes and Persons with Disability of Chhattisgarh. It is also mandatory to pass all three main subjects separately (in theory and practical question papers) as per the rules of the concerned board.
Reservations for Admission:- The reservations for admission to the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B. Pharmacy) and Diploma in Pharmacy (D. Pharmacy) programs shall be asper the reservation related provisions prevailing in the State of Chhattisgarh asper the law at the time of admission to this program.
Management and Minority quota in seats for admission:-
Counselling.- Counselling for allotment of seats shall be done through online process. A counselling committee shall be constituted by the government for counselling work. The non-refundable fee prescribed by the government for counselling shall be deposited online by the candidates.
Order of seat allotment:-
Examination and Verification of the documents and Admission in the Institution:- The allotment of seats done in the counselling shall be provisional. After allotment of the Institute and program in the counselling, the candidate shall have to go to the concerned Institute and get his/her original documents examined and verified. Admission shall be given only after the verification of original documents. It shall be mandatory for the candidate to deposit the fees of the concerned institution within the prescribed date and time. If the candidate does not deposit the fees, his/her admission shall be treated as cancelled.
Merit Lists :- The following merit lists shall be prepared for admission under these rules -
Eligibility Criteria: Passed Four-year Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent degree with at least 55 percent marks for unreserved category candidates and 50 percent marks for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and Persons with Disability of Chhattisgarh.
Reservation for Admission:- The reservations for admission to the M. Pharmacy program shall be as per the reservation related provisions prevailing in the State of Chhattisgarh, as per the law at the time of admission to this program.

Pharmacy program shall be done first according to the merit list of Rule 6, to the candidates, who are domicile of Chhattisgarh, and even thereafter if the seats are left vacant, then their allotment shall be done to the candidates from outside the State of Chhattisgarh according to the merit list of Rule 6.
Management and Minority quota in seats for admission:-
Examination and Verification of the documents and Admission in the Institution:- The allotment of seats during counselling shall be provisional. After the institute and program are allotted, the candidate must report to the concerned institute for verification of original documents. Admission will be confirmed only after successful verification of the required documents. It is mandatory for the candidate to pay the prescribed fees of the concerned institution within the specified date and time. Failure to deposit the fees within the stipulated period will result in cancellation of the candidate’s admission.
Merit Lists:- Under these rules, the merit list shall be prepared in descending order based on the percentage of marks obtained in GPAT. In case two or more candidates secure the same percentage of marks, preference will be given to the candidate who is older in age, and such candidates will be placed higher in the merit list.
