SCHEME OF EXAMINATION:- 

  1. Date of Examination: The examination will be conducted at various centers across the state Maharashtra as well as out side Maharashtra states by Online mode (Computer Based Test) for PCM and PCB groups separately.
  2. The candidate will have choice of appearing any one or both examination. The group wise schedule will be shared with the candidate later on. The option once exercised will not be altered, under any condition.
  3. The marks obtained in a particular group will not be transferred to another group.

Syllabus, Weightage and Pattern of Examination:Syllabi of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for the MHT - CET 2021, is declared by Director, Technical Education, Mumbai vide Letter 2A/ADM/MHT CET Syllabus/2020/347, Dated 01/12/2020 is as follows:

  1. The questions will be based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education.
  2. Approximately 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.
  3. There will be no Negative Marking, however difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based
  4. MHT-CET 2021 will consist of 3 question paper of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) and each paper will be of 100 marks, Details are as given below:

  • Since XII standard whole Syllabus is to be covered in the MHT-CET 2021, hence it is not reproduced here.
  • MHT-CET 2021 result will be declared either in Percentile for Online examination or in Percentage for Offline examination.
  • The candidate should note that if he/she appearing for both the groups i.e. PCM and PCB, the Percentile / Percentage score of Physics or Chemistry will not be interchanged among the groups.
  • For the candidate seeking admission to first-year Engineering and Technology degree courses it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
  • The candidate seeking admission to first-year Pharmacy/ Pharm. D degree course it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for Physics, Chemistry as well as Mathematics and/ or Biology.

Language of Question Paper: The medium for examination shall be English / Marathi / Urdu for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. However, the Mathematics paper shall be only in English only. The option of medium/language of question paper once exercised by the candidate shall be irrevocable. Candidates are instructed to please select the Medium /Language of Question Paper very carefully before submitting the application for the MHT CET 2021 examination.

Examination Center: The MHT-CET 2021 will be conducted by online mode (CBT-Computer Based Test) at almost all the district headquarters in the State of Maharashtra as well as at Capital Districts of the selected states outside Maharashtra like Bihar, Chattisgarh, Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh depending on the availability of the candidates. The eligible candidates passing the qualifying examination can select the examination center of their choice while filling the online application form.

ELIGIBILITY FOR ADMISSION TO FIRST-YEAR ENGINEERING/ TECHNOLOGY, PHARMACY, PHARM D. COURSES 

All the candidates who passed/appearing at the qualifying examination i.e. HSC/12th Standard examination or its equivalent examination and having Indian Nationality are eligible for appearing for MHT-CET 2021. There is no age limit for admission and appearing to MHT-CET 2021

Candidature Type.

  1. Maharashtra State Candidature. - A Candidate can claim only one type of Maharashtra State Candidature Type i.e. from Type A to E.

Type-DA Candidate who does not fall in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.
Type-ECandidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi. The 865 villages of Maharashtra Karnataka Border area notified by the state government for thispurpose this purpose still born in be considered.

(2) All India Candidature. -The Candidates having Indian Nationality are eligible under this category. 

(3) Minority Candidature – The Candidate belonging to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community from the State of Maharashtra and as notified by the Government are eligible under this category.

  3. Should have appeared in all the subjects and should obtain a non-zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

(2) All India Candidature Candidates. –

  1. The candidate should be an Indian National;
  2. Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least45% marks (at least 40% marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State)in the above subjects taken together;
  3. Should obtain a non-zero positive score in NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain a non-zero score in CET conducted by the Competent Authority. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non-zero positive scores in NEET over the candidates who obtained non-zero scores in CET.

(3) NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, and Foreign National Candidature Candidates. -

  1. The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 45 % marks in the above subjects taken together;
  2. Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

  • Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having the approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State);
  • The candidate should have appeared in all the subjects and obtained a non-zero score in the CET conducted by the Competent Authority.

 

(2)All India Candidature Candidates, - 

  • The candidate should be an Indian National;
  • (ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with subjects Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together; or
  • (ii) Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having the approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward Class categories, Economically Weaker Section and Persons with Disability category belonging to Maharashtra State);
  • (iii) The candidate should have obtained a non-zero positive score in the NEET or the candidate should have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain a non-zero score in CET. However, preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining a non-zero positive score in NEET over the candidates who obtained non-zero scores in CET.

(3) NRI / OCI/ PIO, Children of Indian workers in the Gulf countries, and Foreign National Candidature Candidates. -

  • The candidate should have passed the HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology, and obtained at least 50 % marks in the above subjects taken together; or
  • Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having the approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least 50 % marks;
  • Any other criterion declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the Act.

ONLINE APPLICATION FORM:

Application Form for MHT-CET 2021 will be filled through Online Mode (CBT-Computer Based Test) only. The Information Brochure for MHT-CET 2021 and the User Manual for filling up the online application form are available on web site https://mhtcet2021.mahacet.org Candidate is advised to download and print the user manual for filling up the online application form. For submission of the online application form, the candidates should log in at mhtcet2021.mahacet.org on the website. The detailed procedure for online submission of the application form is given in the user manual. Please quote your Application no. in all future correspondence with State CET Cell Office.

MHT-CET 2020 APPLICATION FEE PAYMENT:

Application form processing fees as stated in the table given below are to be paid through online mode for which the service charges, as per rules, shall be applicable in addition to the application form processing fees. This fee is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. If the candidate opted for only PCM or only PCB in General Category, he/she will have to pay Rs 800/- and for the Reserved Category candidate from the state of Maharashtra, he/she will have to pay Rs. 600/- as an MHT CET 2021 examination fee. If the candidate opted for both the groups i.e. PCM and PCB then for General Category, he/she will have to pay Rs 1,600/- and for Reserve Category candidate from the State of Maharashtra, he/she will have to pay Rs. 1,200 as an MHT CET 2021 examination fee.

For GeneralCategory Candidates from Maharashtra State,  Outside Maharashtra State(OMS), J & K Migrant candidatesRs. 800/-

Registration Process Completion: 

On successful payment of the application fee, a confirmation of the same will be displayed online. Candidates shall print the receipt for future references. After successful payment, the Candidate shall take the printout of its online application form for MHT-CET 2021.

Keep a copy of MHT-CET 2021 Application No., Log-In ID & Password.

Download Admit Card: For downloading Admit Card, the Candidate should visit the website mhtcet2021.mahacet.org. The candidate can download his/her admit card for MHT-CET 2021 from his/her Log-In ID. Issue of Admit Card is merely an enabling document for appearing at the MHT-CET 2021 and does not imply that the candidate satisfies all the requirements of eligibility conditions of admission. 

Identity Verification: In the examination hall, the Admit Card along with the original of the candidate’s photo identity (bearing reasonably the same name as it appears on the Admit Card) such as PAN Card / Indian Passport / Permanent Driving License / Voter’s Card / Bank Passbook with Photograph/ Photo identity proof issued by a Gazetted Officer on official letterhead along with photograph / Photo identity proof issued by a People’s Representative on official letterhead along with photograph / recent Identity Card issued by a recognized School / College/ Aadhaar Card / E-Aadhaar Card print with a photograph should be shown to the invigilator for verification. The candidate’s identity will be verified with respect to his/her details on the Admit Card, in the Attendance List and requisite documents submitted. If the identity of the candidate is in doubt, the candidate may not be allowed to appear for the Examination.

The duration of the test for PCM is 180 minutes and PCB is 180 minutes. The candidate should appear the following test in a below-prescribed manner –

  1. For PCM - This paper is having 2 Groups of Physics-Chemistry and Mathematics with a total of 180 Minutes Duration, first 90 minutes Physics and chemistry will be enabled, and only after completion of the first 90 minutes’ time Physics-Chemistry group will be auto-submitted and the Mathematics group will be enabled with 90 minutes duration.
  2. For PCB - This paper is having 2 Groups of Physics-Chemistry and Biology with a total of 180 Minutes Duration, first, 90 minutes Physics and chemistry will be enabled, and only after completion of time response for the Physics-Chemistry group will be auto-submitted and Biology group will be enabled with 90 minutes duration.
  3. The Question Paper will contain Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) with Four options (answers) for each question.

DECLARATION OF RESULT 

The Competent Authority will conduct the examination, evaluate the answer sheets and declare the result. The result will be declared on websites https://mhtcet2021.mahacet.org as per the schedule declared in due course of time.

  1. Provisional Answer key of each version of question paper & Candidate’s response will be made available on website https://mhtcet2021.mahacet.org as per schedule. The Candidate’s response will be available to each candidate after entering Password and Registration ID.
  2. The Competent Authority shall invite application for admission and after verification of documents and eligibility, publish the Merit Lists as per the Rules.
  3. The downloadable mark sheet will be made available on the website https://mhtcet2021.mahacet.org as per the schedule declared in due course of time.
  4. While declaring the result, if a Candidate remains Absent in any one of the subjects in PCM or PCB, then the Total Marks for PCM or PCB will be declared as ‘ABS’ (Absent) as the case may be.

Centralized Admission Process (CAP) Counseling:-

The Government, Government Aided institutes, University Departments and University-managed Institutions Unaided Private Professional Educational Institution shall admit Candidates through the Centralised Admission Process (CAP)

The stages of CAP shall be as stated below

Conduct of CAP Round-I.- The seats available for Round- I shall be published on the Website. The Candidate whose names appear in the final merit list of CAP shall be eligible to participate in this round by filling online option form. The candidate shall fill and confirm the option form through the candidate’s Login. 

During the CAP:-

(a) If a candidate is allotted the seat as per his first preference, such allotment shall be auto freezed and the candidate shall accept the allotment so made. Such candidate shall not be eligible for participation in the subsequent CAP rounds. Such candidates shall then report to ARC for verification of documents and payment of seat acceptance fee as per the method prescribed by the Competent Authority. Thereafter such candidates shall report to the allotted institute and seek admission on the allotted seat. If such candidate does not report to ARC for confirmation of seat acceptance as per the method prescribed by the Competent Authority, their claim on the allotted seat shall stand forfeited automatically and the seat shall become available for fresh allotment. For such candidate, the allotment so made shall be the final allotment;

 (b) Candidate who have been allotted seat other than the first preference given by the candidate and if the candidate is satisfied with such allotment and do not wish to participate in further CAP rounds, such candidate can freeze the offered seat through candidate’s login. Once the candidate freezes the allotted seat, such candidate shall then report to ARC for verification of documents and payment of seat acceptance fee as per the method prescribed by the Competent Authority. Thereafter such candidates shall report to the allotted institute and seek admission on the allotted seat. For such candidate, the allotment so made shall be the final allotment. If such candidate does not report to ARC for confirmation of seat acceptance as per the method prescribed by the Competent Authority, their claim on the allotted seat shall stand forfeited automatically and the seat shall become available for fresh allotment. Such candidate shall then be not eligible for participation in the subsequent CAP rounds; 

(c) Candidate who have been allotted seat other than first preference and accepted the seat by reporting to ARC for confirmation of seat acceptance as per the method prescribed by the Competent Authority shall be eligible for participation in the subsequent rounds for betterment; 

(d) Candidate who have been allotted seat other than first preference and not accepted the seat by not reporting to ARC for confirmation of seat acceptance shall be eligible for participation in the subsequent rounds;

Conduct of CAP Round-II.- 

(a) The seats available for Rounds II shall be published on the website. The Candidates eligible for Round II are allowed to fill in and/or edit online option form filled in by the candidate for the previous round. The seats to be allotted during this round shall be available to the eligible candidates falling under the following categories. 

(i) Candidates as per the sub-rule 3(c) and 3(d) above;

(ii) Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in any of the previous rounds; 

(iii) Candidates who did not participate (failure of filling option form) in the previous round.

(b) Candidates who have been allotted seats other than first preference and reported to ARC for confirmation of seat acceptance, whilst filling fresh option form, he/she need not fill the preference already allotted to the candidate in the previous round. Once the upward preference is allotted to such a candidate, his earlier seat allotment shall stand automatically canceled. In the event of no such upward preference is allotted, his previous allotment stands retained;

 (c) There shall be no further betterment option available to the candidate after round 

The allotment made and/or allotment retained in round II for participating candidates in round II shall be final

Admissions in Institutional Quota and vacant seats after CAP - The Director or Principal of the institution shall carry out the admissions for these seats in the following manner. - (a) Admissions shall be made in a transparent manner and strictly as per the Inter-Se-Merit of the Candidates who have applied to the Competent Authority for verification of documents and then to the Institution. 

(b) Information brochure or prospectus of the Institution which specifies rules of admission should be published well before the commencement of the process of admission. All the information in the brochures should also be displayed on the Institution’s website. 

(c) Institution shall invite applications by notifying schedule of admission and the number of seats in each course to be filled by the institution, by advertisement on the website of the institution. 

(d) Aspiring Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as notified by the Government and specified by the appropriate authority, from time to time, shall apply to the Principal or Director of the respective institution for admission at the Institution level as provided in rule 3(4)(b) and shall be filled in on the basis of Inter-Se-Meirt prepared by following the procedure specified in 8(3).

 (e) The institution after verification of all required documents shall prepare and display the Inter-Se-merit lists of the Candidates to be filled in at the institution level, in the Institutional Quota and Supernumerary Quota of OCI / PIO, Foreign National, Children’s of Indian workers in Gulf Countries along with the vacant seats after CAP, on the notice board and shall publish the same on the website of the institution. 

(f) The Minority or Non-Minority institution intending to surrender the Institutional Quota (in part or full) of specified courses to the CAP shall communicate two days before the display of seat matrix of CAP Round I and the same shall be allotted as per the rules of CAP. The Institutes shall not be allowed to surrender Institutional quota seats thereafter.

 (g) All the admissions and cancellations shall be updated instantly through the online system.

 (h) If any CAP seat remains or becomes vacant after the CAP Rounds, then the same shall be filled in by the Candidate from the same Category for which it was earmarked during the CAP. Further, if the seats remain vacant then the seats shall be filled on the basis of the Inter-Se-Merit of the applicants.

(i) While filling these seats the preference shall be given to Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate over All India Candidature Candidate on the basis of Inter-Se-Merit. 

(j) After exhausting Maharashtra State Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate, if any seat remains vacant in the Sanctioned Intake then these seats may be filled with NRI, Foreign Students (FS), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries (CIWGC) Candidature Candidates, subject to the approval from the appropriate authority for this seat.

 # Two seats per branch for Baba Harnam Singh of Langar Sahib Gurudwara Trust in SGGS Institution of Engineering and Technology, Nanded , Five seats for Seth Walchand Hirachand Memorial Trust & Two seats for D.D. Daruwala Memorial in Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. These seats shall be within the sanctioned intake capacity and shall be filled at the respective Institution level. The Candidates should apply to the Director of the SGGS Institute of Engineering and Technology Nanded and WCE, Sangli respectively.

CAP Seats = Sanctioned Intake – Institutional Quota

* The seats excluding the Minority Quota and the Institutional Quota shall be filled in the stipulated percentage from the Maharashtra Candidature Candidate and All India Candidature Candidate.

 @These are the minimum percentage of seats to be filled in the Minority Institution through CAP, this may be extended up to 100%. However, before the commencement of the CAP, such Institution shall declare and inform to the Competent Authority, the maximum percentage of minority quota to be filled in their institution. The institutional quota for Architecture and Pharmacy includes 5% quota for NRI and in case the seats remain vacant then they shall be allotted to the candidates with All India Candidature.

 Note: The Institutions affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technological University Lonere will have 100% State Level Quota with subject to the approval of the State Government
