Rajasthan University of Health Sciences conduct counseling for Pharmacy courses for admission in Rajasthan

Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), was established in 2005 and headquartered in Jaipur, is a state university dedicated to improving medical and health education across Rajasthan. It affiliates numerous medical, dental, nursing, pharmacy, and paramedical colleges, ensuring standardized education and training in healthcare. The university focuses on academic excellence, research, and skill development to produce competent healthcare professionals who contribute to the advancement of medical sciences and public health services in the state.

Eligibility Criteria for (B. Pharm and D. Pharm): All Indian residents who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for RCA Pharmacy 2024 for admission to pharmacy colleges affiliated with the Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur, a State Government Medical University. Admission will be granted based on the guidelines provided in the official information booklet, as well as the rules of **RUHS/Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and directives of the State Government or Honorable Court. Applicants must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent with English, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects, along with Biology and/or Mathematics. As per the PCI notification, candidates who have completed their 10+2 through open schooling with the above subjects are also eligible for admission to B. Pharm and D. Pharm courses.

Reservation: Seat reservation will be made in accordance with the statutory provisions of the Government of Rajasthan, applicable only to candidates with Rajasthan domicile. Candidates from reserved categories of other states will be considered under the unreserved category. Those claiming reservation benefits must present the relevant certificate (SC, ST, ST-STA, OBC Non-Creamy Layer, MBC Non-Creamy Layer, EWS) or additional category certificate (such as PwD, if applicable) issued by a competent authority at the time of joining the allotted college, along with attested copies. OBC/MBC candidates must submit the original Rajasthan State OBC/MBC certificate, clearly stating 'Non-Creamy Layer' and issued within one year of the RUHS Pharmacy Entrance Examination 2024-25. EWS candidates must produce the original EWS certificate valid for the financial year 2024-25, issued by a competent authority in Rajasthan. 5% of seats in each category shall be reserved horizontally for PwD candidates, based on Merit-cum-Priority, as per the guidelines outlined in Annexure 1. On the specified date, PwD candidates must present a valid PwD certificate issued by a competent authority for verification of physical disability by the Medical Board constituted by RUHS, Jaipur.

Domicile criteria: Admission to B. Pharm and D. Pharm courses through RCA Pharmacy 2024 is open to all residents of India; however, preference will be given to candidates with Rajasthan domicile.

FEE STRUCTURE: As per the directions of the State Govt. / State Level Fee Committee vide order no. P14(1)ME/Gr-I 2020, dated 22.06.2023, the fee structure for pharmacy courses for the session 2024-25 is as under:

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :Before filling out the online application form, candidates are advised to carefully read the information booklet and instructions provided. Ensure that you meet all eligibility criteria and other requirements outlined in the booklet. It is essential to fill in the online application form with utmost care. Any discrepancy or error discovered during the scrutiny process may lead to the rejection of your candidature, even if detected at the final stage of admission or thereafter.

IMPORTANT: HAND WRITTEN / TYPED / PHOTOSTAT COPIES / PRINTED APPLICATION FORM / SCREEN PRINTOUT WILL NOT BE ENTERTAINED.

CHOICE FILLING: To participate in the counselling process, candidates must fill in their preferred choices of course and college (in order of priority) and pay a non-refundable counselling fee of INR 550. Detailed guidelines for choice filling and online payment of the counselling fee will be made available on the official website in due course.

ADMISISON PROCEDURE: Admissions will be conducted strictly based on the merit list prepared from the scores obtained in the admission test and the order of choices/preferences submitted by candidates in the online application form. Candidates are strongly advised to exercise their choices carefully. Detailed instructions and guidelines regarding the admission test will be made available on the official RUHS website. The decisions taken by RUHS and the Admission Board will be final and binding on all candidates. Applicants are advised to regularly check the RUHS website (www.ruhsraj.org) for updates and important information related to the admission process.

Important Note: If, at any stage, it is discovered that an ineligible candidate has been granted admission, their admission will be cancelled immediately upon detection. Disciplinary or legal action may also be initiated against such candidates.

Allotment of college and course : The allotment of colleges and courses will be carried out strictly based on the candidate’s merit, the availability of seats in each course at each college, and the order of preferences submitted by the candidate in the online application form. The allotment process will include only those colleges and courses that have been finalized by RUHS for the admission and counselling process for the academic session 2024–25.

In case two or more candidates secure the same score in the admission test, the tie will be resolved in the following order of preference:

  1. One who has higher marks in 10+2 or an equivalent examination.
  2. The candidate of higher age (older candidate).
  3. One who has obtained higher marks in Secondary examination (10th) or its equivalent examination.

After the allotment of college and course, candidates will be notified through the RUHS website. It is the candidate’s responsibility to check the website, take a printout of the allotment letter/information, and report in person to the allotted college by the specified date, along with the printout, original documents, and the prescribed fee. Failure to check the website or to report on time will not be accepted as a valid reason for non-reporting, and such allotments will be automatically cancelled. Following Round 2 of counselling, once the Admission Board declares admissions open, any vacant or drop-out seats (i.e., allotted but not joined) in Government Universities or Departments will be filled by the Pharmacy Admission Board, including seats under the EWS supernumerary quota and the Tuition Fee Waiver Scheme (TFWS). Similarly, vacant and drop-out seats in private self-financed pharmacy colleges (excluding EWS and TFWS supernumerary seats) will be filled by the respective colleges, as per their original sanctioned intake. However, all EWS and TFWS supernumerary seats including their vacant and drop-out seats shall be filled strictly by the Pharmacy Admission Board and not by the respective colleges under any circumstances.

Admissions on the vacant seats, drop-out seats and management quota seats :

  1. In Government University / Department: Admissions on the vacant seats and drop-out seats (allotted but not joined) shall be made only by the Pharmacy Admission Board, Rajasthan University of Health Sciences, Jaipur.
  2. In private self-financed colleges: Admissions to vacant and drop-out seats (i.e., seats allotted but not reported), after Round 2 if required, shall be conducted by the respective private self-financed colleges included in the 2024–25 admission/counselling process. These admissions must be carried out in a transparent manner, strictly based on the eligibility criteria in the qualifying examination (10+2) as prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, and in accordance with the guidelines outlined in this information booklet. Additionally, 15% of the PCI-sanctioned intake in B. Pharm and D. Pharm courses at each private self-financed college (as listed in the 2024–25 seat matrix) shall be filled under the management quota by the respective colleges, also based on the qualifying examination (10+2) eligibility criteria prescribed by PCI, and following the same transparent and compliant process.

Eligibility Criteria for M. Pharma: All residents of India who fulfill the eligibility criteria may apply for RCA Pharmacy 2024 for admission to M. Pharm courses offered by various private self-financed pharmacy colleges affiliated with Rajasthan University of Health Sciences (RUHS), Jaipur. Admissions will be conducted as per the guidelines provided in this information booklet, the applicable rules of the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and RUHS, and any directions issued by the State Government or Honorable Court. Candidates must have secured at least 55% aggregate marks over four years (or three years for lateral entry) in a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree from RUHS or any other recognized University/Institution, or an equivalent qualification approved by the competent authority. For candidates with CGPA, the CGPA must be converted to an equivalent percentage, and the minimum requirement remains 55%. A relaxation to 50% is applicable for candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (Non-Creamy Layer), and MBC (Non-Creamy Layer) categories of Rajasthan state.

Domicile criteria: Admission to M. Pharm courses through RCA Pharmacy 2024 is open to all residents of India. However, preference shall be given to candidates of Rajasthan domicile.

ADMISISON PROCEDURE: Admissions will be strictly based on the merit list prepared using the GPAT score or the percentage obtained in B. Pharm, along with the order of choices/preferences submitted by candidates in the application form. Preference will be given to GPAT-qualified candidates. Candidates are strongly advised to fill in their choices carefully and thoughtfully, as allotment will be made according to merit and the preferences provided.

Important: If at any stage, it is found that a non-eligible candidate is admitted to a course, then the admission of such a candidate will be cancelled on such detection. A penal action may also be initiated against such candidate.

Allotment of college and course: The allotment of college and course will be carried out strictly based on the candidate’s merit, availability of seats in each course and college, and the order of preferences filled in the application form. The merit list will be prepared based on the GPAT score or B. Pharm percentage, with preference given to GPAT-qualified candidates. The allotment process will include only those colleges and courses approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), New Delhi, and RUHS.

Candidates securing equal merit position will be admitted in the following order of preference:

  1. One who has obtained higher aggregate marks in Bachelor in Pharmacy course.
  2. One who has passed Bachelor in Pharmacy course earlier.
  3. The candidate of higher age (older candidate).

After the allotment of college and course, candidates will be informed through the RUHS website. It is the responsibility of the candidate to check the website, take a printout of the allotment page, and report in person to the allotted college by the specified date with the printed allotment information, original documents, and the prescribed fee. Failure to view the allotment details on the RUHS website will not be accepted as a valid reason for failing to report. If a candidate does not report in person as per the notified schedule, the allotment will be automatically cancelled. No further allotments will be made by the Pharmacy Counselling Board 2024 after this round. Any vacant or drop-out seats (seats allotted but not joined) will subsequently be filled by the respective colleges included in the counselling process, up to the deadline of 30.11.2024.

Admissions on the vacant seats, drop-out seats and management quota seats: Admissions to vacant seats, drop-out seats (allotted but not joined), and management quota seats shall be conducted by the respective colleges participating in this admission/counselling process. These admissions must be carried out strictly in order of merit, in a transparent manner, and in full compliance with the prescribed eligibility criteria. No admissions shall be made after the date notified by RUHS/Admission Board (i.e., 30.11.2024). All admissions will be considered provisional and subject to the final outcome of any ongoing legal proceedings, if applicable. The provisional status will only be cleared upon official enrolment by RUHS. The decision of RUHS/Admission Board shall be final and binding on all candidates. All relevant court judgments and prevailing rules at the time of admission will apply, and candidates will be required to comply with such judgments, rules, and any subsequent changes. Candidates must ensure their eligibility before applying and must truthfully complete the application form. Providing false information, making incorrect declarations, or suppressing any relevant facts at any stage will invite legal action and/or penalties as deemed appropriate by RUHS/Pharmacy Counselling Board 2024. All legal matters related to RCA Pharmacy 2024 shall fall under the jurisdiction of the Hon’ble High Court of Rajasthan, Jaipur Bench.
