The Maharaja Surajmal Institute Of Pharmacy (MSIP) was established in the year 2001. Located in New Delhi, the college works under a private management. This AICTE approved Institute under GGSIP(Guru Gobind singh Indrapratha  University) is ideally located in the Institutional area of  Janakpuri, New Delhi. It has a campus spread over eight acres of land with beautiful eco-friendly surroundings. Institute was earlier operating from four storey building of 6279 sq.m of built up area. Recently it has been shifted to a more spacious seven storeyed building with built up area of 9660 sq.m

GGSIP University is solely responsible for the admission in any course in any of the affiliated Institute including Maharaja Surajmal Institute. The University conducts admission process once every year starting in the month of March or April. The admission process is performed in four steps:

1. Online Application Submission: Candidates must register and fill the Online Admission Form on university website and submit the requisite fees. While filling the form, candidate can select the course he/she willing to take.
2. Common Entrance Test (CET): Once Online Admission Form is successfully submitted, University conducts a online test known as Common Entrance Test. It is mandatory for all the students willing to take admission to appear in Common Entrance Test and qualify the same.
3. Online Counselling: After the declaration of the result of Common Entrance Test, University conducts online counselling. All qualified candidates of Common Entrance Test must register for the online counselling and fill their choice of Institutes. After that, University conducts online counselling in the order of ranking of the  candidates in CET. The candidates can decide to choose Institute of his/her choice among available options of Institutes at the time of counselling.  Usually, there are two or three rounds of Online Counselling.
4. Physical Reporting: After successful allocation of Institute, students must report, in person, to the Institute allotted to them.
