Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), is the first Pharmacy University of India established by an Act7 of 2008 of State Legislature of Delhi as a State University vide Notification and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956 through its own departments and constituent colleges in regular mode vide notification No. F.9-19/2015/(CPP-I/PU) dated 22nd September 2015. Delhi Government legislation on 17th October, 2008 (Delhi Act 07 of 2008) and made functional from by notification on 24th July, 2015. The University is situated in the University campus besides the old block. The University is recognized by UGC under section 2f. NBA has accredited D.Pharm. B.Pharm. and M.Pharm. (Pharmacology) at DIPSAR, the constituent college of the University. The college offers B.Pharm, D.Pharm, M.Pharm and Ph.D. programs respectively.
DIPSAR offers Diploma and Bachelor’s in Pharmacy for which the annual intake is 50 and 60 students respectively.
Applicants must have passed Higher Secondary/Intermediate examination with English as one of the compulsory subjects. Apart from English, combination of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and/ or Biology (PCM/ PCMB) is compulsory with minimum aggregate of 55% marks.
Also, candidate with any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to other examinations can also apply.
Admission to both D.Pharm and B.Pharm will be based on the merit of qualifying examination.
Key Points for B.Pharm and D.Pharm Admission:
At postgraduate level, Delhi Institute of Pharmaceutical Science and Research offers M.Pharm in the various specializations.
Applicants who hold Bachelor’s in Pharmacy with at least 55% aggregate marks are eligible to apply. Admissions will be made through candidate’s score in Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) and merit in the qualifying examination.
For calculation of merit point, 50% GPAT score and 50% candidate’s score in the qualifying degree examination will be considered for admissions.
Seats left vacant after the counseling through GPAT, will be filled on merit basis for Non-GPAT qualified candidates.
Key Points to remember for M.Pharm Admission:
DIPSAR offers Doctoral level course in the field of Pharmacy. Candidates who have obtained Master’s in Pharmacy are eligible to apply.
As per the guidelines of the university, candidates will be admitted through the entrance exam conducted by the college.
Students who have obtained fellowship from any recognized institution are exempted from the entrance exam as per the UGC guidelines. Such candidates may apply directly at the university before Last week of August, 2020.
